Monday, May 27 CACHE COMMUNITY BAND

starting at 12:00 Noon
The Cache Community Band (CCB) has been serving Cache Valley
and its woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists since 1979. The
CCB is comprised of three groups - The Cache Wind Symphony, Parade Band and Big
Band. In 2016, the CCB integrated with the Music Department at USU to increase
exposure and performance opportunities. The Wind Symphony, under the leadership
of USU band directors Dr. Thomas Rohrer and Dr. Lane Weaver, performs five
times each year and often combines their concerts with local high school bands
or USU music groups. This interaction provides a unique opportunity for young
musicians to share the joy and impact of music with adults that are continuing
their musical pursuits.
