WEEK NINE

JULY 24, 2017


Singers and instrumentalists will perform their favorite music in addition to previewing the upcoming UFOMT season which includes Henry the VIII,. Seussical, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Music Man, The Pirates of Penzance, Madama Butterfly and other performances.  Always unbelieveable voices and talent!  Not to be missed! JULY 25, 2017
Ben Alder
Organist
Ben was born in St. George, the son of Scott and Betsy Alder. His grandparents are Doug and Elaine Alder, formerly of Logan.  In October 2015 Ben was a guest of former Salt Lake Tabernacle organist Dr. Robert Cundick.  This was a highlight in his life thus far. Other venues Ben has played in are the Paris Tabernacle in Idaho and Brigham City, Utah. He has given quarterly recitals in the Saturday noon programs in the St. George Tabernacle for the past two years. Talented young man.

Jeremy Harvey
Pianist
As a pianist, composer, arranger, and recording artist, Jeremy Harvey is a senior at Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in music composition and piano performance. He has his own YouTube channel (pianomaniac14) and he also has several albums that he has released on iTunes. He is the recipient of the prestigious Judy Van Ostrem scholarship for the arts awarded by Lighthouse International, an organization dedicated to helping visually impaired individuals. He served as a Young Church Service Missionary for the LDS Church with special responsibilities to share his faith through music and the spoken word. In spite of the difficulties of low vision and cerebral palsy, Jeremy's "life vision," centered on his faith, continues to enable him to conquer challenges and celebrate the good things of life.

Debbie Ditton's Singers
Debbie Ditton has been teaching voice lessons in Cache Valley for 23 years. She has a private voice studio and has vocal directed for Music Theatre West, Pickleville Playhouse and Cache Community Theatre. She loves performing all styles of music, but her first love is musical theatre.  She received her BFA in Musical Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University, where she taught for three years before coming to the Valley.  She also loves to perform and was seen on the Eccles stage as Mrs. Pearce in My Fair Lady this past Spring.  Her next project will be stage directing Fiddler on the Roof with Music Theatre West.

Carolyn Bentley is a talented harp teacher in Cache Valley.  This concert will be heavenly with talented harpists sharing their unusual gifts.  Performers  range from high school, to USU students to a mother of 3.  The program will be a variety of light classical, folk, major harp works and an ensemble piece with all harpists playing together.


THE CONCERT AND LECTURE SERIES IS SPONSORED BY  CACHE COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS AN INTERFAITH AND CIVIC ORGANIZATION, AND IS ALSO SPONSORED IN PART BY THE RAPZ TAX.  THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS ALLOWS FREE USE OF THE HISTORIC LOGAN TABERNACLE, AS WELL AS PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
