Singers and instrumentalists will perform their favorite music in addition to previewing the upcoming UFOMT season which includes Henry the VIII,. Seussical, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Music Man, The Pirates of Penzance, Madama Butterfly and other performances.  Always unbelieveable voices and talent!  Not to be missed! Lori Pulotu
Karaoke Singer

Singer/songwriter Lorisa Pulotu began her carrier in 2007 singing and preforming with her daughter, Elora. In 2012 she released her first album, Crimson Sky. Since then she has released a Country album, a Christmas Album, and several singles. She has preformed all over Utah and parts of Idaho. Some of her performances include the Kimball Arts Festival in Park City, the American Heritage Center, Brigham Young Historical park, Temple Square, Freedom Fire Celebration with the American Festival Chorus, The Complex (SLC), and the Utah State Fair. In 2012 she and her daughter preformed with youtube sensation Alex Boye at the Kent Concert Hall. 

Lorisa was born in Provo, Utah and is the third child of eight in the Brazzeal family. She began piano lessons at ten and joined the school elementary choir, but it would be several decades before she realized her musical abilities. She attended Brigham Young University Hawaii, where she obtained a degree in Home and Family Development and Early Childhood Education. She is the mother of five and has a great love for family.

Dr. Mayumi Matzen
Piano

Bradley Ottesen is the violist of the internationally acclaimed Fry Street Quartet. He holds the position of Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Utah State University, and currently serves as the President of the Utah Viola Society.

Dr. Mayumi Matzen holds a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Kyoto City University of Arts (Japan), and both a Masters and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music where she was a student of esteemed piano pedagogue Douglas Humpherys. She maintains an active career as a recitalist and soloist at the national and international level, and is currently adjunct professor of piano at Utah State University.

Rising Musical Stars of Cache Valley
Outstanding young musical performers from Cache Valley will be showcased today.  There will be 3 pianists, David Ban, Andrew Israelsen, Dohoon; 2 vocalists Nate Bohman and Nicole Christensen and a violinist.  

 Nicole Christensen is a longtime musician.  Beginning vocal lessons at the age of 8, her training varies from classical to pop music and many other styles.  Her favorite musical theater experience was with the Utah Festival Opera Company, where she participated in the ensemble of Porgy and Bess.

Nathan Bohman lives in Hyde Park and is going to be a senior at Green Canyon Cove high school. He has enjoyed performing since the age of four. He recently had the opportunity to play Sebastian in the Little Mermaid at Sky View High School and will next be seen in the ensemble of Four Seasons Theatre's production of Hello Dolly.  The Italian song he's singing today earned him superior ratings at both region and state. Nate is a natural when it comes to comedic timing and makes everyone around him crack up on a regular basis.

Melissa Jensen & Friend

 Melissa studied vocal performance at BYU and the Manhattan School of Music.  She has won many state, National, and International Vocal Competitions during her competitive career; including BYU Singer of the Year, Metropolitan Opera Utah competition, and the Classical singer competition. She has also performed with orchestras such as the Utah Symphony. Melissa is known for presenting a bold mixture of musical genres, humor, and full-hearted acting. 


THE CONCERT AND LECTURE SERIES IS SPONSORED BY  CACHE COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS AN INTERFAITH AND CIVIC ORGANIZATION, AND IS ALSO SPONSORED IN PART BY THE RAPZ TAX.  THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS ALLOWS FREE USE OF THE HISTORIC LOGAN TABERNACLE, AS WELL AS PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
