Holt Family

The Holt Family has enjoyed making music together for nearly fourteen years. Eachchild began the study of their instrument at around age three. Our performance will include folk, sacred, and classical music performed on the piano, violin, cello, and guitar.  We look forward to sharing the light and joy that music and children can bring!

Hinge Point

Three teenage sisters, ages 17, 17 and 15 started a contemporary Christian group during covid and have been performing a lot in the Salt Lake area.  They sing covers of other artists' songs and they also have written a lot of their own music.  Hinge Point's music is very upbeat and a lot of it has a fun pop or country rock vibe, but they also do mainstream Christian selections. Kyra Moon

Kyra Moon completed a bachelor's and master's degree in piano at Brigham Young University. She has been composing and arranging music her whole life and she enjoys improvising on the spot for audiences. Kyra and her husband live in Cache Valley and have three boys and one girl and another boy on the way.

John and Karen are local pianists.  Karen is a board certified music therapist and John holds a master’s degree in music technology. They met in the music halls of USU 40 years ago.  Their daughter, Kristina is an accomplished songtress and will be joining them with her husband to share music she has written.  It will be an enjoyable evening for all!

TUESDAY, JULY 5, 2022

Constance Jensen

Connie Jensen has a masters degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah and teaches Voice and Group Voice at Utah Valley University where she received the Faculty in Excellence Teaching Award in 2021.  She has been a featured soloist with UVU's jazz and wind ensemble. She performs all over Utah, Idaho and California.  She has received numerous honors and awards for vocal teaching and performing. Constance is also president of the Central Utah Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing.  In addition to her teaching at Utah Valley University, she also has a private voice studio at home in Franklin, Idaho. Her performances are always outstanding!

    Karla Axtell

Karla Axtell  received her BFA in piano from Utah State University.  An accomplished piano teacher and organist she has accompanied the Cache Children’s Choir, American Festival Chorus, Cache Symphony Orchestra and Nutcracker Ballet.  No matter the instrument, piano or organ, Karla is superb!  She is always a hit on the Noon Concerts.  Karla is married to Bruce Axtell with eight children and 23-going on 26- grandchildren.

Craig Mecham
As an independent singer/songwriter Craig Mecham has spent more than five decades performing his unique slice of life ballads to audiences of all ages. Recently, his song “Ain’t No Quit” spent 3 weeks at #1 on the HUGS Unsigned Artist International Chart where he was also nominated “Male Artist of the Year for 2021”. He has had several other songs on various national independent charts. His ability to weave music and lyrics into a very personal experience will have you roaring with laughter one minute and quietly dabbing your eyes the next.

Seegmiller Group
Brynn Vance and Ethan Seegmiller, brother and sister duo, both with master's degrees in music from Utah State University will dazzle you with their outstanding performance.  Brynn on the violin and Ethan on the piano, make great music!  They are repeat performers on Tabernacle concerts and always enjoyed by all.

Come enjoy some favorites from John Denver, Alison Krauss, bluegrass style with a mix of gospel, Celtic and band member originals. Performers include:  Craig Mecham, Anna Anawalt, Buckley Banham, Paul Mueller.  This group is fun, upbeat, accomplished  and will share an hour of great music!

Logan Tabernacle Concert and Lecture Series: June 2019

Logan Music Academy

The Logan Music Academy was founded 5 years ago by the mother- daughter duo, Vickie Craw (General Director) and Brianna Krause (Artistic Director). The Academy    has over 300 students taking lessons in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele and drums. Brianna is also the director of the Academy children's choir Songbirds.  The songbirds and other talented students and teachers of the Academy will be performing.  Logan Music Academy

Ben Alder, Organ

Ben Alder was born and raised in St. George, Utah. He has played in LDS Tabernacles in St. George, Utah, Paris, Idaho, Brigham City, Utah and Logan, Utah. and also the 5 manual Salt Lake Tabernacle organ hosted by tabernacle organist, Robert Cundick. Ben has a youtube channel of over 30 videos. 4 of them are from the Logan Tabernacle. he enjoys going on trips, working as a custodian in the rec center at Washington city, Utah, volunteering at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah and going to special needs Mutual where he uses is musical abilities to serve as a substitute music person or playing for prelude music in opening exercises. He loves it. He will be sharing popular Disney music.

Banjo vs. Piano 
The former step-mother-step-son pair combine their talents in their once-a-year duo performance, including humorous stories from their blended-family days and musical histories as well as much improvised playing. Jordan, raised in Cache Valley discovered his love for the banjo at age 12 and has won numerous competitions over the last 20 years. 

Step mom Lezlee Hales Monroe, a Logan native and current resident of Clearfield is a singer-songwriter and has created multiple albums of music as well as performs in two Salt Lake based bands.

Mark Gibbons

Mark grew up on a dairy farm in Lewiston Utah. They milk 600 cows and farm 1200 acres of ground. He has been married for 42 years to his sweetheart Shanna. They have three wonderful sons. Great Daughter-in-laws, and eleven grandchildren. Mark has a great family and a great life. He loves to sing and has had the opportunity to perform across the U S.

Rockie Ricks & Friends

Rockie Ricks is a talented pianist, organist, composer, and musical organizer. After retiring from a career as an electrical engineer working for the Navy, he and family moved from San Diego to Cache Valley where he completed a BA in Music at USU working with Dr. Kevin Olson. He brings with him a cadre of professional and semi-professional friends. They perform a smorgasbord of everything from Bach to Crawford Gates, rock and roll to cowboy music, with vocals and instrumentals including organ and piano. The program features some of Rockie's own works. As usual, the program includes candidates for the most beautiful music ever written. This year's program includes commemorations of all the spring and summer holidays, from Easter to Pioneer Day. This is one concert you don't want to miss.
